Press Release –
On June 27th, 2006 a letter was mailed to all Iowa APCO
members from President Judy Flores. Each member was asked
if they would like to request a special meeting of the Iowa Chapter to be held
for members to voice their concerns.
The results
of the Iowa APCO special ballot are as follows, with (50) fifty members
out of (318)
three hundred and eighteen members responding:
Yes – 29
No – 20
Abstain – 1
A special
meeting will not be held since we did not receive a
majority of Iowa Chapter members voting in favor of the special meeting. 50% or a majority of the voting members
would
constitute at least 159 Chapter members supporting the special meeting of the
membership.
