- We want to remind all of the chapters and
members that the "Super Saver" deal for the 2005 Annual Conference in
Denver runs through January 14th. You might note that date is different than
it was a couple of weeks ago. This extension is intended to give everyone a
chance to register from their 2005 budgets.

To better serve smaller agencies with more
restrictive budgets in implementing APCO EMD, effective January 1, APCO will
be offering a Standard Version of EMD Guidecards at a reduced rate. This
version will differ from the regular custom version by reducing the amount of
changes per set, thereby reducing the amount of man hours and expense to the
APCO Institute. The Institute will also be introducing a new "Restricted
Medical EMD Instructor Certification" that will allow agencies to certify a
medically trained person to instruct the medical portion of the EMD course
without the expense of a full EMD Instructor certification. These changes will
help APCO provide the same services to smaller agencies with less funding that
might otherwise not be able to implement EMD.
