APCO Sends Thoughts and
Prayers to Gulf Coast

APCO International sends its collective prayers to all the people affected by Hurricane Katrina -- especially our members and the public safety community. We know they are working tirelessly to keep their communities safe and to achieve some kind of normality for their citizens, as well as their own families. We know that many, if not all of them, continue to work despite their own personal losses.

Many of you have called seeking information on how to help our colleagues in their time of need. First Vice President Willis Carter was able to find someone close to the affected areas to serve as the contact person for anyone offering help and assistance.

Craig Petit, of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, is the contact person. His e-mail address is Ptrenee@aol.com.

We know our colleagues in the affected areas appreciate everything you can do.

There will be stories to tell and lessons learned from Hurricane Katrina in the coming months. But, until then, God bless all of you.
