Re: APCO International Members Helping Members Program - Sunshine
Fund
Dear Colleagues:
As you are aware, our telecommunicators in the Gulf Coast region
are suffering from the chaos caused by Hurricane Katrina. APCO International is
doing everything it can to assist our colleagues in the affected areas in
getting back on their feet personally and professionally with the "Members
Helping Members" program.
Yesterday we introduced the "Members Helping Members"
web forum where APCO International members can seek or offer assistance. Today,
we would like to request your support in collecting funds for the PSAPs and
telecommunicators in the affected areas.
In 2004, APCO International launched the "Sunshine Fund"
to benefit telecommunicators who have experienced hardship. In our opinion,
there is no greater need for funding for our public safety communications
family than this. To that end, we are dedicating all of the money collected in
the "Sunshine Fund" to the PSAPs and telecommunicators in the
affected areas and we encourage all of you looking for a way to help to
contribute to the "Sunshine Fund."
All of the funding collected for the "Sunshine Fund"
will go directly to the PSAPs and telecommunicators in the affected areas.
Donations can be sent to APCO International Headquarters at:

Don't forget to visit the APCO International "Members Helping
Members" web forum at http://www.apcointl.com/mboard
if you are interested in offering other assistance. Thank you for your support
of your colleagues during their time of need.
Sincerely,
Gregory S. Ballentine
