Dear Iowa APCO Members:

I would like to thank the Iowa APCO Chapter for picking me for the Joanne Perkins scholarship for the trip to the North Central Regional Conference in Kansas City, Missouri in April.

Due to budget constraints my center was unable to send anyone to conference, so I filled out the application and I was selected to go.

I would encourage other members to apply for the scholarship.

The conference was full of great training and networking along with the venders on site. The Missouri Chapter put on a wonderful conference.

On a personal note I starting working in telecommunications the 1980’s and have been a long term APCO member and did have the pleasure of knowing Ms. Perkins, she cared about her profession and the people in it.

Again, thank you to the Chapter and to the Joanne Perkins scholarship fund for assisting me in attending the conference.
