APCO NORTH CENTRAL REGIONAL CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP
-
- Upon recommendation of the Iowa
Chapter’s Executive Board, a conference scholarship has been
established in the name of Joanne Perkins, a former telecommunicator
from Glenwood. Iowa APCO will award one regional conference
attendance per year using earnings from the investment of donations
from chapters and other interested parties in continuing the knowledge
and education of Iowa telecommunicators.

- Eligibility Requirements

1. The applicant must be employed full-time as an Iowa
telecommunicator in public safety communications with at least one
year of service.

2. The applicant must have the desire to further his/her
knowledge in the field of public safety communications.

3. The applicant must have applied to his/her agency to attend
the APCO regional conference and been turned down due to a lack of
funds.
-

4. The applicant’s agency should be willing to give him/her on
duty or paid leave time to attend the training conference.
-
-
5. The applicant’s agency, if possible, should try to
partially fund the training conference. This can include use of an
agency vehicle for transportation.

6 Preferential consideration will be given to Iowa APCO
members.

7. The application must reach Iowa APCO by March 14, 2005.

8. The successful candidate will be notified by March 18,
2005.

- 1. Complete the form on the reverse side. All information
must be typed.

- 2. The recommendation of the agency department head must
be included.
