Bonnie Jean Hill, 61, of Birmingham,
died Sunday, June 17th, 2007 at the Jefferson
County Hospital
in Fairfield.
Bonnie was born March 14, 1946 at Independence,
Missouri, the daughter of Leroy
Franklin & Pauline Iona Flowers Runkle. She
attended Independence schools and William Chrisman High School.
She was a member of the RLDA
Church in Independence, where she taught Sunday and
Vacation Bible school.
She moved to Iowa
and married Steven James Ingwersen on June 4, 1966.
They divorced September, 1979.
Bonnie married Walter Hill on March 21, 1980.
She has been past president of the VFW Auxillary in
Fairmont, MN and past president of Fairfield Eagles
Auxiliary #1927. She is a current member of the VFW Auxiliary, Eagles
Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, Birmingham Card Club, Ottumwa Saddle Club and the
First Lutheran
Church in Fairfield. Bonnie is currently serving as
treasurer of the Eagles Club.
Surviving family include her husband Walter; 2 sons: Dale and wife Mandy Ingwersen of Douds, Jeffrey Ingwersen of Brighton, 1 daughter Jodi and her husband
Brent Howard of Ottumwa;
2 step-daughters Karen Hill of Skokie, IL , Norma and husband Tony Baker of
Fairfield; and 1 step-son Bill and his wife Kim Hill of Fairfield. 7
grandchildren and 9 step-grandchildren, her mother Pauline Rowan of
Independence, MO, sister Joyce (William) Griffith of Independence, MO.
Deceased family include her father, step-father John Walton Rowan,
daughter-in-law, and infant step-grandson, and grandparents.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the First
Lutheran Church
in Fairfield
with Pastor Marvin Robeck officiating. Interment in
Maple Hill
Cemetery at Birmingham.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at
the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials have been established to American Heart Association, National
Diabetes Foundation, and ICU at Mercy
Hospital in Iowa City in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
