Joyce A. Lee 1937-2006
It is with deep regrets that we announce the passing
of Joyce Lee on Saturday, June 17, 2006, at the
Hospital in Emmetsburg. She was 68.
For the past 18 years, Joyce has served as a Dispatcher for the Palo Alto
County Communications Center in Emmetsburg. She was nominated for Iowa APCO’s Telecommunicator of the
Year in 2006 for her dedication to public safety communications. Joyce is a
member of the Palo Alto County Peace Officers Association and
Joyce was not only a dedicated worker, but she was a devoted wife, mother and
grandmother. Her family was very important to her and she loved spending time
with them. Joyce maintained a beautiful water garden in her back yard, of which
she was very proud.
Surviving are her husband, Jarrett of Emmetsburg; sons, David of Alta, Randy of
New Mexico, Perry of Storm Lake and Rob of Spencer; 19 grandchildren and 17
great grandchildren.
